Travel Weekly is reporting that president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises Mark Conroy is to step down in the new year after two decades leading the luxury line. He will become an executive advisor to parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings, which also includes Oceania Cruises.
He will become an executive advisor to parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings, which also includes Oceania Cruises, from January 31. Prestige president and chief operating officer Kunal Kamlani – also president of Oceania – will add the role of president of three-ship line RSSC to his responsibilities. RSSC veteran Randall Soy has been promoted to sales and marketing executive vice president, reporting directly to Kamlani. Soy, previously senior vice president of sales, will be responsible for all marketing, sales and e-commerce strategies for RSSC.
Conroy will advise Prestige chairman and chief executive Frank Del Rio and Kamlani on “a series of business strategies,” the company said. “I’m very much looking forward to my new advisory role and taking a step back from the daily grind and extensive travel associated with running an international cruise line,” Conroy said.
